Bachelor of Finance and Investment (Hons), TAR UC (Distinction)

TAR UC Merit Scholar

"After graduating from high school, like most students I wasn’t really sure of which exact field of study to pursue. I decided to enrol in Foundation in Arts at TAR UC and the 12 months in CPUS proved to be one of the most defining periods in my life. Foundation helped us to acclimatize to the academic environment of tertiary education and had sufficiently prepared me to cope with the challenges of bachelor’s degree.

At TAR UC, my lecturers value my opinions, I was given the freedom to explore all sorts of possibilities, and we are free to engage in intellectual discourse. My short and sweet Foundation journey and subsequent 3 years of bachelor’s degree introduced me to great friends and lecturers, taught me the importance of hard work, and brought out the best in me. I am currently working as a Relationship Manager in Maybank, managing premier customers’ accounts."

"The foundation programme is the best stepping stone to undergraduate studies and there are many reasons why studying Foundation in TAR UC is a wise decision. Foundation lecturers generously guided us and they gave me the confidence to complete all my work and assignments. As great mentors, they motivated us to always aim higher in life.

We were also given the opportunity to participate in various co-curricular activities which have enriched our student life. Foundation studies have helped me to discover my passion and steered me towards a degree in real estate management. I am currently attached with CBRE-WTW; a property management firm and I will always remember how it all started with the right Foundation."

Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) In Software Engineering, TAR UC (Distinction)

TAR UC Merit Scholar

"After SPM, some of the tertiary education options I have considered include private universities, foreign university branch campuses, as well as TAR UC. Upon attending a few consultation sessions, I finally decided to enrol in Foundation in Science at TAR UC to kick-start my tertiary studies due to its reputation for providing an industry-driven education which is a perfect fit for my career goals.

My Foundation year at CPUS provided me with the knowledge, skills, and network of individuals that proved to be very useful at bachelor’s degree. When I reflect on my years in TAR UC, I conclude that the experience not only made me a better computer scientist but also prepared me in unanticipated ways for my career. I was challenged to discover a voice I did not know I had. That voice has played a central role in my career as a Business Intelligence Analyst in a multinational company - TPG Telecom Pte Ltd."

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (1st class)
ASEAN Undergraduate Scholar

I see my time at TAR UC as a pivotal point in my life where I have grown from a rowdy teenager to a focus-minded individual, and subsequently developed a passion for learning. TAR UC is a great place for individuals to exchange ideas, and people are friendly and caring towards each other. I believe the environment is good for students fresh out of school to build genuine friendships and to prepare them academically for undergraduate studies.

The Cambridge A Level programme had paved the way for me to study at NTU and then work in Singapore. I’m am currently working as a process and equipment engineer at Micron Technologies, specialising in dry etch processes development and productivity work. Singapore is a melting pot with talents from all over the globe. It is a great place for competitive people to learn, collaborate, and build a better future together. I will never forget that all these opportunities started with Cambridge A Level at TAR UC.
